Carlos Cuéllar commitment to Rangers
By: j | July 23rd, 2008
SPL Player of the Year and Scottish Football Writers award-winner, Carlos Cuéllar, has been the subject of numerous tranfer rumours but through the clubs magazine, he expressed an intense appreciation of the Rangers faithful and desire to stay at the club. Quoting directly from the magazine, Carlos added:
“When I go out on the pitch, I have fantastic backing from the fans and that is very important.
“I am very proud to have this support and it encourages me to go out and play for them. I’ve never experienced such warmth before in my career and it is very special.
“I am very happy at Rangers and the supporters are one of the reasons. I want to stay here for many years.”
The twenty-six year-old defender came from La Liga’s Osasuna of Pamplona Spain last July for a £2.4m transfer and immediately solidified his role within the SPL. With his long-term commitment the foundation of the clubs back-line is set for years.

Ugly Betty certainly had egg on his face when he punched out Naka’s wonder shot. Luckily there was justice that night!

I was actually considering using that pic specifically for you…you know the one that showed it wasn’t a deliberate handball : )
