After a horribly long break that dates back to the St. Mirren match in the first week of the month, the Rangers finally get back to action this week the Hamilton Accies. With such an extended break a number of Walter Smith’s injury woes are clearing and included back this weekend are Kenny Miller and Kevin Thomson.

Per the Rangers club web-site Walter Smith commented:

“I think Kevin and Kenny will be fine for Saturday.”

“Kevin has an ankle injury which was a bit swollen and it took a bit to settle. He only trained towards the end of last week, but the extra time will mean he is fully fit for Hamilton.”

“I think Kevin and Kenny will be fine for Saturday.”

“Kenny had the injection in his hamstring and that required a period where he couldn’t train, but he came back last week and there has been no problem with it.”

In other injury related news skipper Barry Ferguson played his first match in five months with the reserves against St Mirren 3-0 on Tuesday. He is not ready to return to full league action yet but it won’t be too long if all goes well in his rehab.
