Well as a die hard Celtic supporter, it would not sadden me to see Kris Boyd leave. He is the Gers striker I fear the most. I would much rather have Walter field Kenny Miller in a lone stiker role, which in my opinion is a detriment to this Rangers side.

First of all, my Celtic friend (see, we're building our online rivalry) I applaud the "Scrooge McDuck" anecdote. I would have went for an RBS reference however...I honestly DON'T think Kris will stay and this is just anteing up for the best amount of cash. The roster is far too Striker heavy in my opinion and I think once Kenny Miller came in, something was up. BTW - the Georgios Samaras was a great deal for you. You could a great price.

Do Rangers not have the funds to keep Boyd? As much talk as Ian and the other Glasgow-Club haters do about the bullying of Celtic and Rangers, it is not as if Peter Lawell and Sir Davie are doing laps in pools of money a-la Scrooge McDuck. Celtic, because of the successes have been able to sign McGeady and Boruc because of CL money and the UEFA Cup cash will help Rangers, but I think many of the readers outside of Scotland need to realize it is not exactly the Argentinian League-big club domination here. Rangers having to bid with Championship Cardiff City for Boyd and Celtic competing with Birmingham for Gabriel Tamas seems like proof of this.
