One positive from Rangers fall-out

By: j | October 31st, 2008

Rangers fall from European competition to FBK Kaunas has at least one positive outcome as today UEFA announced that SPL runners-up who lose in the Champions League qualifier will now drop in the new the Europa League. This summer the Rangers were upset by Lithuania unit FBK Kaunas which subsequently pushed them out of all European competition. The new league will also allow for the SPL’s fourth-placed club a spot in the second qualifying round with the third-place club in the next round.
