The Rangers continued to press for the top spot of the SPL as they came from behind to defeat a very tough Falkirk side 3-1 at Ibrox. The visitors put forth a brilliant effort as the work diligently to avoid relegation and took the lead after twelve minutes as Neil McCann played in Steve Lovell for a quick effort into the net. The Rangers controlled the run of play for a balance of the half but a sturdy Falkirk resisted all challenges and the match looked to be going to break with the visitors in-front before Patrick Cregg was adjudged to pulling down Kris Boyd in the area. With the spot pointed to, Kris Boyd stepped up and calmly leveled the match. After the restart, the Rangers continued to press and had the a man advantage six minutes in when Patrick Cregg was shown a straight red for his challenge on Pedro Mendes. Down a man now, Falkirk dug in and played firmly behind the ball in the hunt for a draw. With thirteen minutes remaining the match took a peculiar route as Saša Papac is sent off for a dangerous tackle and the clubs were at even strength. However only three minutes later the Gers finally found the touch as Nacho Novo cross was redirected in by Kris Boyd for his second goal of the day. Steven Davis brought the match to its 3-1 conclusion in added-time as he charged in from the left to hammer the ball to the back of the net.

How did you see Papac’ challenge as dangerous ?
Professional foul ? Yes.
Dangerous ? Not even slightly. And Kris Boyd keeps on proving Murray wrong, long may it continue.
Davis’ goal was a thing of beauty.Posted from

No Mention of John Fleck’s debut? Thought this was the most important thing to have happened in the match aside from the 3 points.
