Rangers v Dundee United match preview
By: j | January 30th, 2009Following last Sundays tough scoreless draw to Aberdeen, the Rangers are in dire need of a victory against Dundee United at Ibrox. The costly draw dropped the ‘Gers four points below Celtic and know that Craig Levein’s side will put up a hard fight as they are targeting a spot in the Europa League.
For the match, Walter Smith has no new injuries to report but based upon mid week success in the Scottish League Cup, it should be expected that Kris Boyd will return as striker. Kyle Lafferty is healthy but Maurice Edu and Kevin Thomson are still absent with injuries. Given the nature of supporters being less than satisfied with play and there seems to be considerable concern of fan unrest, I suspect they’ll continue the similar attacking first vision.
Noteworthy to mention, the Rangers will honour the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns prior to the match with a series of special events and of-course serve haggis pies.
As always I will report on the match as it concludes.

Here’s hoping Dundee Utd are knackered from the other night and Novo plays.
