Rangers visit Dundee United

By: j | December 12th, 2008

With the surprise defeat of Celtic last week, the Rangers title bid took a major leap forward. In a year where victories seem rare for Celtic they must continue to press-on and pick up points where ever possible. Dundee Utd is weighted down with a number of absences including Morgaro Gomis, Willo Flood and Lee Wilkie to the flu and Francisco Sandaza isn’t fit to play yet. Walter Smith goes into the match with a near full squad list with only Madjid Bougherra questionable.

Walter Smith said of the match:

“Tomorrow’s game is a good one for us. We had a smashing game at Ibrox earlier in the season and I think anybody who was at that game would have thoroughly enjoyed it.In Scotland we don’t get enough praise at time for the standard of game we can put on but that was an excellent game and hopefully this one will be every bit as good. I certainly hope it will have a different result – in our favour – but I hope it’s as good a game to watch.”

I will report on the match as it concludes.
