The Boy Is Home!!

By: Del_Boy | September 18th, 2007

After week and weeks and coming and going Rangers finally stumped up £2m and signed life long Rangers fan, Steven Naismith.

The ex-Kilmarnock player signed on the dotted line at 11:59 on deadline day and revealed it was a dream come true.

There had been a lot of news in the press that rivals Celtic had a bid accepted and that Rangers wouldn’t pay that much for him. But after securing the jackpot of qualifying for the Champions League Rangers used that cash to sign the highly rated 20yr old.

I personally am delighted that we signed him. He is very direct, good on the ball has tons of passion and most importantly he loves Rangers and is only 20yrs old! I don’t think he will be in the first team straight away but he knew that before he signed and obviously thinks he has the quality to do so.

The only draw-back I see in this is that with his arrival players like Buffel and Burke and other attacking midfield players may be forced out but it’s up to Naismith to prove he is good enough and force his way into the team.
