the return of Steven Davis?
By: j | July 26th, 2008
With Fulham playing hardball and demanding a firm £4m for Northern Ireland international Steven Davis, the chances of seeing him with the Gers this season is beginning to look bleak. While Walter Smith clings to the hope of bringing him in before the transfer window closes, he is equally coming to grips with the fact he might be priced out of the Rangers wallet.
Manager Walter Smith commented, “We haven’t been able to reach an agreement with the club so it looks as though that one is finished for now.” Unfortunately given his level of performance, the existing price for midfielders and he is only twenty-three years-old, I very much doubt the we’ll be able to sign him for under Fulham’s asking price.
